Youth Protection Program: Please click here for more information if you will be involved in youth sports in the City of Absecon and need to be fingerprinted for that purpose. Firearms Identification Card/Handgun Purchase Permit: Please see the Firearms section of this FAQ for information pertaining to firearms permit fingerprinting. Employment: If you need to be fingerprinted for employment purposes, other than working for the Absecon Police Department, you will need to make an appointment with the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office. While there is no cost for this service, you must provide the fingerprint cards and you must be able to provide proof that you are a resident of Atlantic County.
